A note about translation and search results.

The Language control offers browser translation in supported languages. Publisher names stay in their original form. Translation can help you use the directory, but it does not translate a publisher's own website and may contain mistakes. Choose English to read the original site text.

If a search has no useful match, remove some filters or try a broader category. An empty list means we have no sources listed there yet. It does not mean that no such publications exist. You can suggest a missing publisher by sending its official website and information that supports its country or topic.

Start with a country, then a place

Newspapers by Country

Explore the world through local sources. Browse newspapers and news websites by country, then choose the coverage you want: national news, regional reporting, sport, business or another available category.

Explore newspapers by country

Find your way through a country's news sources

  • Find a country. Country cards show flags and country names in English and local languages. Type all or part of a country name to narrow the list instead of scrolling through every card.
  • See the choices. Country pages show the available categories, listing counts and publisher lists you can expand. Look through them before opening a category page.
  • Read at the source. Publisher names and available logos help you recognise a publication. Each link takes you to the publisher's own website, not a copy of its articles.
  • Explore different types of coverage. Move between national, regional and specialist lists for the same country. These lists help you find different kinds of reporting; they are not a ranking of publications.
  • Browse without the search controls. Country and category pages include publisher links that are part of the page itself. You can follow them from a country to a publication without using interactive search.

This can help you follow news from home while abroad, learn about a place before travelling, or find sources you have not read before. For example, open Italy's newspaper directory to explore its national, regional, sports and English-version listings.

A practical route through Italy's newspapers

Start with national news and politics in Italy for general coverage. Use Italy's regional newspaper listings for a particular area, or explore Italian sports sources for sports reporting. You can also try the English-version category. Check each publisher's website to see which languages it currently uses.

When learning about a place, read more than one source and check each report's date, author and evidence. The directory helps you find different sources. It does not check their reporting or compare their articles for you.

Start with an interest

All News Categories

Know what you want to read about, but not where to look? Browse newspapers and specialist websites covering politics, technology, business, sport, science, health, culture and more. Choose a topic to find sources for reading, learning or research.

Explore all news categories

Turn an interest into a place to start

  • Use familiar words. Search with all or part of a category name. Related words such as sport/sports or movie/film also work, and suggestions can help you choose a category.
  • Look beyond general news. Try topics such as science and research or programming and development tools when you need a more focused source.
  • Choose a place and a subject. Use the homepage newspaper search to select a country and an available category together. Clear the filters when you want to start again.
  • Find a familiar publication. Search can match publisher names and website addresses, as well as countries and topics. You can use a website address even if you do not know which category contains it.
  • Work through the results. Use the name-sorting and Previous/Next controls when they are available. Choose a suggestion or submit your search to see the matching directory results.

Choose a directory, not just another feed

A feed shows individual stories. StackOverNews helps you find places to read them. Choose a country when location matters, or a subject to explore specialist sources from different places. You do not need to know a publisher's name first. This is how our site is organised, not a claim that other directories lack similar tools.

Your reading, your choice

Why choose StackOverNews?

Sometimes you need a new source, not just another story. StackOverNews helps you find newspapers and specialist websites for the place or subject you want to explore. You can start with a country, a topic or a publication's name.

You decide what to read next. Browse the lists, narrow your search and open a publisher's website to read its work.

Find a newspaper

You do not need to know every publisher's name

If a country or subject is new to you, you may not know where to look. Choose a country to see its newspaper categories, or a topic to find general and specialist sources. If you already have a publication in mind, search for its name or website address.

Follow your own interests, not a stream of headlines

You may want local reporting from Italy, a sports publication or a website about science. Follow that interest directly through the directory. We help you find sources rather than choose stories for you or ask you to keep scrolling through a feed.

Read on the website that published the work

Links take you to the publisher's own website. There, you can read its reporting, look for the author and date, and check any corrections or conditions for access. StackOverNews does not replace the publisher or copy its full articles.

Look beyond the sources you already visit

A newspaper you know can be a good starting point, but it need not be your only source. Explore country and topic lists to find others. For research or important decisions, read more than one source and check the evidence yourself; a directory listing is not a fact-check.

Find sources for study and practical tasks

For a study project, try science and research sources and look for the original work behind a report. For a technical task, explore programming and development resources and check that the advice applies to your tools and version. Topic lists include specialist websites as well as news publishers. Choose the kind of source that suits your task.

Explore without creating another account

You do not need a StackOverNews account or payment to browse the lists or use search. Country and category pages also have ordinary links, so you can browse without the interactive search controls. External publishers may have their own subscriptions or sign-in requirements.

Help make the directory more useful

Found a broken link or a publication we have not listed? You can send a correction or suggestion. Include its official website and explain which country or topic fits it. Read how directory listings are organised for guidance before suggesting a change.
